Controlled-release fertilizer planter packets for up to 12 months of feeding. These biodegradable packets contain enough GAL-XEONE®-coated controlled-release nitrogen to sustain most plants for 12 months. With an expanded package of minors and secondary elements, BEST PAKS® can feed for an entire year while effectively limiting the potential for leaching and ground water contamination. These easy-to-use, pre-measured packets are quick and easy to apply.
Provides the right amount of nutrition in the critical first 12 months after planting.
Root penetrable PAKS allow unimpeded access to moisture and nutrients to resist transplant shock.

AT TIME OF PLANTING: Place PAKS in backfill within 6-8 inches (15-20 cm) of soil surface approximately 1 inch (2.5 cm) from the root ball. On plants of 5 gallon size (19 liters) and larger, it is acceptable to place an additional PAK in the bottom.

MAINTENANCE FEEDING: Determine the number of paks required from the rate schedules below. Punch the appropriate number of holes 6-8 inches (15-20 cm) deep into the soil around the dripline. Place one PAK per hole, cover and irrigate. Use in Feeding Established Plants: Trees, Shrubs, Perennials

• Number of PAKS to apply per ½ inch (1.25 cm) of trunk diameter or for each 1-1½ ft. (30-45 cm) of plant height.

• Slow Growing Plants in fair to good soil—2 PAKS

• Fast Growing Plants or Plants in sandy or poor soil—4 PAKS
