BOISE, Idaho — Engagement with Simplot’’s Employee Resource Groups (ERG) was high at the Company’s first ERG Fair. Our five ERGs welcomed visitors to learn more about their missions, how to participate as a member of the population or as an ally, and find out about upcoming events.

About 100 employees attended to learn more about and show support for Simplot’’s five ERGs:
- Latin American Hispanic Origins Resource Alliance (LA HORA)
- Simplot Military Alliance
- Simplot People of Color
- Simplot Rainbow Alliance
- Women’s Impact Network (WIN)
Members of the Simplot Leadership Team also stopped by the lunchtime ERG event. Chairman Scott Simplot, President and CEO Garrett Lofto and Senior Vice-President of Human Resources James Pegram checked out the ERG booths and displays and visited with attendees.
Volunteer ERG representatives were enthusiastic and engaged as they staffed their booths and connected with visitors. Conversations touched on a variety of topics related to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) and the purpose of Simplot ERGs. Some groups even brought giveaways to share in support of their work.
“ERGs are a great example of how we can bring DEI to life across our organization in meaningful ways,” said Digital Content Manager and Simplot Military Alliance Member Travis Dryden. “Our first ERG Fair was a new and empowering One Simplot moment for everyone involved!”
Employee Resource Groups are voluntary, identity-based communities formed by Company employees. They allow all employees across our organization to:
- Meet and connect with new colleagues
- Be an active voice for change
- Learn and grow professionally and personally
- Share their culture, values, and experiences with others
- Contribute towards a more open and human world of work
- Give back to the local community
All employees have the opportunity to connect with ERGs to join the communities as participants or allies, learn more, and stay up-to-date on ERG events and activities.
